A Teeny Tiny Pottery Place

Coming soon.

A Boise-based, mid-fire home studio kiln-share offering quick, customizable firing of ceramic works for potters and artists.

Hey there, fellow mud magician

Welcome to my small, community-focused home pottery studio in Boise, Idaho.

Soon, this little studio will offer kiln firing services for local ceramic artists, production, and hobby potters once electrical installation and the kiln setup are complete.

If you’ve ever had big pottery dreams but slightly smaller pottery realities… welcome to the club. Maybe your home studio is a kitchen table. Maybe your garage is already full of bikes and camping gear (guilty). Maybe you love pottery but aren’t quite ready to commit to owning a kiln (they’re wonderful, but they’re also a lot).

And if you’ve ever waited weeks for pieces to come back from a community studio kiln while wondering how they were fired or what happened inside that mysterious kiln room, you’re definitely not alone.

This little studio is being built to offer something simple that can be surprisingly hard to find: reliable and customizable kiln access with a bit more flexibility.

Whether you're throwing at home, taking classes locally, or working out of a small studio space, the goal of this kiln share will be to help keep your pottery practice moving forward without needing to invest in a full studio setup of your own.

Once the kiln is installed, loads will be fired in small batches and handled thoughtfully so each piece gets the attention it deserves. Because this is a small home studio kiln, every load will be carefully packed and monitored to help produce consistent results.

Whether you’re experimenting with new glazes, dialing in a specific firing schedule, or just trying to get your latest batch of mugs done in time for your next market, this little home studio is being built to help make that possible.

And honestly? I’m really glad you found me while it’s coming together.

Studio Services (coming soon-ish!)

  • Bisque firing to βˆ†06, and glaze firing to βˆ†5.5 at my standard firing schedule.

  • Do you have a specific firing schedule you want to follow? Can do.

  • firing schedules

The firing schedules I use standard in my personal firings.

  • test tile madness

I tested a series of Penguin Pottery and Opulence glaze combinations and documented exactly how each one was layered so you can recreate them.

  • current glazes
